Black Background

A Bit About Me & How Budd Consolidated Came To Be

Once I chose to try my hand at entrepreneurship, I dove in head-first. Co-Founding Drift Leads with a fellow vet and entrepreneur I had come across during my time as a financial advisor. Within the first two years of operations for our new company, we found ourselves collaborating with a number of venture capitalist groups. At this time, we were contracted to help with creating marketing strategies for those of whom got accepted by the VC investors. From their I got a front row seat in watching people who had a dream for their business, but had little to no experience or background in business management or development. Unfortunately, many of these people felt overwhelmed almost immediately, and in some cases they were convinced to sell the rights to their businesses or just couldn't keep up with the required pace. I thought to myself "that was horrible" every time it happened. After all, I understand how much better my life has been since I had been able to find success in building my own business alongside my counterpart at Drift Leads. I also understood the true value of my predicament. I not only had my own business, but I was privy to the inner workings of multiple businesses from the ground up. I was also fortunate enough to work directly with several board members of these VC groups and came to understand not just "what" they thought, but "how" they thought from a strategic level. These insights and experiences were something that very few people will ever have the opportunity to come across as they try to find their own way in entrepreneurship. So I decided to do what I can to help fix this issue. I founded Budd Consolidated to help new and aspiring entrepreneurs to reach their own success.

My Professional Background & Skillset

My professional skillset first began during my time in the Navy. As part of the Ops Dept. I was always involved in some way or another with strategic placement, tracking, navigation, and understanding resource management in the form of intentional deployment for effective asset management. During the last six years of my time in the Navy, I spent countless long nights, early mornings, and any break I could find inbetween studying to be a financial advisor. I've always had an aptitude for analysis and problem solving. As chance would have it, my time spent applying myself to these two labors helped tremendously with financial planning, investment strategies, debt management, and retirement planning. However, I quickly found that working as a licensed professional in the financial world came with its own constraints. Although I was extremely effective in creating strategic and holistic solutions for my clients, I was limited to the rules and regulations of the firm as to who I could and could not work with. Upon making the decision to leave the firm, and ultimately my time as a financial advisor, I found myself presented with an opportunity to work with another veteran who was in need of a partner in founding Drift Leads, a website development and marketing company. It was only after I had a company to run, that I truly understood the value of professional networking and the cultivation of relationships. These newfound business relationships ultimately led to my involvement with a collection of Venture Capitalist branches in which I hosted or attended over two hundred strategic conferences focused on deciding whether or not to fund a company, how to build a particular business, marketing strategies, infrastructure establishment, etc. Being plugged into all of these conferences and being a part of these high level discussion regarding systematic decisions on when, how, and what needed to be done to make the businesses in question successful opened my eyes to just how unprepared most new business owners are. Understanding the process of business development is such a unique skillset that is built upon over a lifetime and must be cultivated intentionally. Most entrepreneurs start their own business because they're a master of their specific craft. This often times does not mean that they're simultaneously acclimated to the environment of business development. This is where I shine. I specialize in helping people establish, improve upon, or fix their business model and establish an well defined infrastructure for their business. As a business development consultant, I'm highly capable in guiding a person through the entire process of establishing a strong foundation in which they can successfully build their business on.
